For the second time this season Ealing's first team beat Hammersmith by six points in the Middlesex league. This latest result achieved on 25th February enables us to leaf-frog over Hendon in the first division table but our North London rivals will be keen to reverse this when they visit the Harvester in two days time.

A great save by John Torrance who was two pawns down on adjournment, enabled Ealing to win their 4th January 2010, second division match against Wimbledon. This victory throws Ealing a life-line in their bid to avoid relegation to the third tier.

Thames Valley League

Ealng A have won their 20th January match against Surbiton after one of two adjourned games was agreed a draw. With Tuesday's match against Kingston almost certainly drawn, Ealing are handily placed in the unofficial league table with 9 points from eleven games. Ealing's last three games are versus Staines at the Harvester and home and away against Richmond B. (Table below)
